Author Guidelines

Articles submitted to the Editorial Board should be in line with the topics of the Magazine, contain novel results and comply with the format requirements of the Magazine. 

Articles should be submitted in the following format: 

1. Printed with double line spacing and font size not less than 12 pt and delivered in 2 copies; the left margin of pages should be 30 mm and the right one, 15 mm. 

2. The printed copy should be accompanied with the electronic version of the article in MS Word in compliance with the following rules:

a) only left text alignment (no right alignment), the same applying to headings, no hyphenation, no first line indentation;

b) paragraphs separated by one line, words in paragraphs separated by only one spacing;

c) no spacing between words and punctuation signs. One spacing after punctuation signs. Parentheses are separated by one spacing outside, without spacing inside;

d) no forced interword spacing control;

e) no rulers or other pseudographics. 

3. To make article preparation more straightforward, do not overload articles with too much formulas; avoid duplicating results in formulas, tables and figures. 

4. Approximate publication size: max. 16 pages for articles (including figures, tables, abstract and references); max 2 pages for brief reports. 

5. The first page of the article should be formatted as follows:

- name of article (it should be as short as possible and clearly describe the contents of the article);

- names and workplaces of authors;

- name and e-mail address of the author responsible for communication with the Editorial Board for article issues (to be highlighted by color or otherwise);

- abstract (approx. 150-200 words briefly describing results);

- keywords. 

6. The following data should be provided at the end of the article:

- second names, first names and middle names of the authors (full); workplace of each author; position; scientific degree; workplace address;

- contact information (phone, e-mail address) of each author, if available;

These data should be provided both in Russian and in English.

English translation of article name, abstract and keywords. 

7. The article should briefly and clearly describe the current status of the issues being addressed, aim of the work, description of the experimental methods and discussion of the results. It is recommended to use a standard structure of headings, i.e.: Introduction, Theoretical Analysis, Methods, Experimental, Results and Discussion, Conclusions, References. All measurement units should be in SI. 

8. Figures:

- drawings should be clear and suitable for computer reproduction. Do not overload the article with unnecessary data not directly related to the text;

- figures provided in electronic form should be in WMF, EPS or JPG formats, photos should be in TIF (min. resolution 300 dpi); other formats should be approved with the Editorial Board;

- all figures should be referenced in the text and numbered. Figure captions (if any) should be provided on a separate page. 

9. Formulas (each provided in a separate line) should only be designed in an equation editor (Equation or MathType). Formulas provided on printed copies should be carefully checked by the authors, their correctness being the authors’ sole responsibility. 

10. Tables should have titles and continuous numbering. The text should contain references to all the Tables. 

11. References (15-20 literary sources) at the end of the article should contain the following data:

- for magazine articles: names and initials of all authors, name of article, full name of magazine, year of publication, volume, number, first and last pages of article;

- for books: names and initials of all authors, name of book, place of publication, publisher, year of publication, total number of pages in book;

- for articles in collections: name of collection, name of article, issue (or volume) number, place of publication, publisher, first and last pages of article.

Numbers of references should be provided in brackets [ ] in the respective places of the text. If a referenced publication has a DOI, it should be provided. Self-referencing should not exceed 20%. 

12. Articles should be accompanied by an open media publication permission issued by the head organization of the authors, an accompanying letter and an author agreement. Articles should be signed by all the authors. 

13. All articles are necessarily examined by referees. The Editorial Board will not maintain any further communication or discussions regarding rejected articles. 

14. Publication is at no cost for authors. No fee is paid to authors for published articles.

If an article published in the English version of Russian Microelectronics, the editors will adhere to the rules of MAIK (http://www.maik.rssi.ru/rusindex.htm).

 

Submission Preparation Checklist

As part of the submission process, authors are required to check off their submission's compliance with all of the following items, and submissions may be returned to authors that do not adhere to these guidelines.

  1. The manuscripts are accepted if has not been published or submitted for publication elsewhere.
  2. The materials should be prepared in a format OpenOffice, Microsoft Word, RTF, or World Perfect.
  3. Internet links are provided as a complete URL. 

  4. Text should be typed with an interval of one line spacing, font Times New Roman, 12 pt; to highlight the accents it is recommended to use italics rather than underlining (except Internet links). All images, graphics and tables are placed within the text according to the meaning of the particular part of text  (and not at the end of the document).
  5. Text should follow the stylistic and bibliography requirements as stated in  Regulations  located in the Part "About Us." 

  6. Please, remove the authors' names from the title of the article and other parts of the document to ensure the  anonymity of reviewing.

Authors who publish with this journal agree to the following terms:

  1. Authors retain copyright and grant the journal right of first publication with embargo 1 year, then the work will be licensed under a Creative Commons Attribution License that allows others to share the work with an acknowledgement of the work's authorship and initial publication in this journal.
  2. Authors are able to enter into separate, additional contractual arrangements for the non-exclusive distribution of the journal's published version of the work (e.g., post it to an institutional repository or publish it in a book), with an acknowledgement of its initial publication in this journal.

Privacy Statement

Specified when registering the names and addresses will be used solely for technical purposes of a contact with the Author or reviewers (editors) when preparing the article for publication. Private data will not be shared with other individuals and organizations.
