Editor-in-Chief

Yuri N. Parkhomenko is Professor, Doctor of Physics and Mathematics, Academic Director of the Chair of Semiconductors and Dielectrics Science and the Collective Use Center for Materials Science and Metallurgy of the National University of Science and Technology MISiS and Academic Director of Giredmet JSC.

Dr. Parkhomenko has graduated from the Department of Semiconductor Materials and Devices (Chair of Semiconductors Science) of the Moscow Steel and Alloys Institute (MISiS). Yuri Parkhomenko defended his PhD Thesis in 1975 and Dr.Sci. Thesis in 2000. In 1999 to 2021 he headed the Chair of Semiconductors Science of the National University of Science and Technology MISiS and is currently the Academic Director of this Chair. In 2006 to 2013 Prof. Parkhomenko was Director of Giredmet Research and Technology Center JSC and is currently the Academic Director of Giredmet JSC.

Prof. Parkhomenko was awarded Prize of the Government of the Russian Federation for Research and Technology (20.02.2006), the Titles of Honorable Worker of Russian Higher Education (22.09.2006) and Honorable Worker of Russian Research and Technology (13.10.2011), Second-Class Medal of the Order for Service to the Motherland and First-Class Medal of the Order for Service to the Motherland.

Main fields of scientific interests: physical materials science, physics of surface, technology of inorganic materials, analytical methods of studying composition and properties of inorganic and organic materials, ferroelectrics, XPS.

Professor Parkhomenko is the Editor-in-Chief of the Modern Electronic Materials and Materials of Electronic Engineering Journals, Deputy Editor-in-Chief of the Russian Nanotechnologies Journal, Associate Editor-in-Chief of the Russian Microelectronics Journal and Associate Editor of the Sensors Journal. Yuri Parkhomenko is Member of the Research and Technical Councils of the Rosatom and Roscosmos State Corporations.
